Commentary: | For publication, the first inscription above was written in green paint. Later the artist painted over the first with the second inscription in red paint. Remnants of the green paint are visible. According to the owners, when they bought the painting, Schoonover said to them, “When I’m dead this will be worth a lot of money.” |
