Commentary: | Hackettstown, NJ artist William Helslip, Delaware farmer Byron Briggs and Stanley Nadler visited the artist in his studio in the late 1960’s. Stan, a sailor, liked this painting, but there was a hole in it. Helslip told him he could repair the hole, which he did, after Stan bought the painting. (interview 2007)
