Commentary: | Schoonover’s series of Ivanhoe paintings was loaned to St. Andrew’s School, Middletown, Delaware on May 25, 1931. On January 15, 1936, the paintings were presented to the Episcopal Church School Foundation to be shown at Saint Andrews School as a gift from J. Thompson Brown and Frank E. Schoonover. Schoonover received $2750 from Brown as Brown’s portion of the gift. (archives) | |
