| Commentary: | Odessa is located about 25 miles south of Wilmington on the Appoquinimink Creek which is shown in this landscape. It is his largest known watercolor landscape and the only one painted of this area of Delaware. The artist gave it to his wife, Martha, because it was her favorite (archives). | |
